What is Dreamweaver?
Dreamweaver is a Macromedia product that provides a graphical environment for designing and publishing web sites.
You don't have to be a programmer to create a web site, because Dreamweaver will write the code for you!
Dreamweaver's drag-and-drop features allow you to add text and graphics. You can also create and format tables or
import text using several methods with Dreamweaver.
With Dreamweaver, you can perform character and paragraph formatting on text. You can also define and apply
HTML styles. Do you want to add links within a site? Dreamweaver will write your code. Would you like to
create anchors? Again, it's easy with Dreamweaver. Links and frames are no longer a hassle, as Dreamweaver can write the code to specify external links,
use images as links, create image maps and build a frame-based site to assist the viewer in navigation.
Use Dreamweaver to create dynamic user-interface elements and define meta tags. Or create CSS styles and layers.
Then use Dreamweaver to combine layers with behaviors and target page content to specific browsers and versions.
Dreamweaver's powerful web design capabilites, packaged in a user-friendly graphical interface, make it the
tool of choice for beginners. Experienced designers who don't want to write code can let Dreamweaver do the
work for them. Either way, Dreamweaver is a good choice for quality web development.
Dreamweaver has powerful templates, extensive code libraries, new server technology support, XML and Web standards support, improved cascading style sheets 2 (CSS2) support, high-powered new coding features, accessibility features and it is optimized for ColdFusion Development. Dreamweaver adds new support for building ColdFusion, ASP.NET, and PHP websites and increased support for development of ASP, JSP and legacy ColdFusion applications.
